Pat has been a registered nurse since 1992 with more than 15 years experience in community based oncology clinical trials. She has a strong commitment to supporting cancer patients throughout their continuum of care.
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING, SMIL
John Freeman is the Director of Marketing for Scottsdale Medical Imaging. John has over 30 years’ experience in healthcare marketing and public relations. He has served on the boards of several hospice organizations and cancer survivor organizations. The mission of Gals on the Run AZ is the promotion of wellness, survivorship, and community for female cancer survivors. John sees the honor of working with the Grant Advisory Committee as a wonderful opportunity to help fulfill that mission and also create a better understanding among the general public of the issues surrounding cancer survivorship and challenges faced by the growing population of survivors.
Terri Taylor is a Registered Dietitian and Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition.
She is a graduate of Arizona State University and Presbyterian Hospital Dallas dietetic internship.
Terri is the nutrition educator for the HonorHealth Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center. Her practice includes individual nutrition counseling, nutrition and cooking classes and community speaking engagements. Her passion is translating the science of nutrition into practical, everyday habits for cancer prevention and survivorship.
Linda Liu, MD
Dr. Liu has been voted by her peers as a “Top Doc” in PHOENIX magazine. She is board-certified and completed general surgery training at the University of Michigan. She graduated with honors from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and Princeton University.
Dr. Liu grew up outside of Washington, D.C. and enjoys art history, Japanese gardens, and the narrative behind tattoos.

Erin is a yoga instructor in Scottsdale, AZ. She has worked with Gals on the Run AZ since the group was started in 2016. Yoga therapy for cancer patients and cancer survivors is one of the more successful methods for combating the physical discomfort of cancer and cancer treatment. Through Erin's yoga instruction our cancer survivors are strengthening the body, boosting the immune system, and achieving a much-sought-after feeling of well-being.
Chad Anderson is an attorney and age-group athlete. He has competed in more than 20 marathons and is an 8 time Ironman triathlon finisher. He is co-founder of Gals on the Run AZ and is the chief business and legal adviser to the group.
HEATHER ANDERSON, NP
NURSE PRACTITIONER, FOUNDER OF GALS ON THE RUN AZ
Heather Anderson is a Nurse Practitioner and is board certified as an Advanced Oncology Nurse Practitioner. Heather has worked as an oncology NP for 7+ years where she has a special focus in cancer survivorship. She founded the group in 2016 as a way to promote fitness, wellness, and community within the female cancer survivor population. In her spare time Heather is an age-group athlete who has competed in over 20 marathons and is a 6 time Ironman triathlon finisher.
